PC Performance and Hotfix 1.0.2
What Rebel Wolves shipped on Sep 3 2026, the known stutter and shader crashes, and the fullscreen workaround. Not a settings fantasy list.
Launch-week PC is messy. This page only repeats what the studio posted and what multiple reports agreed on by Sep 4 2026.
Hotfix 1.0.2 (Sep 3, 2026)
Steam news for app 3751260, 5:06 PM EDT:
Quests
- Coen can talk to Farkas after killing everyone around him.
- Lunka no longer gets lost leading the tutorial.
- The uriashi blacksmith learned how to craft a certain holy sword. If Forge It Anew was stuck, patch and go back.
Gameplay
- Controller dead zone and sprint input on PC.
Known issues they are still looking at
From the same post:
- Stutter in Windowed / Borderless. Workaround: Full Screen.
- Crash while compiling shaders. Check BIOS is current. They linked a support note from the news post.
- PS5 gamepad button mapping missing on PC.
Community reports on the same day (mp1st roundup, not a patch note): flickering lights, tiny UI font, sprint dying on angles, cursor vs controller, tearing, menus dead after a fullscreen switch, crashes on console and PC.
What to actually try
- Run Full Screen, not Borderless, if the frame time spikes when you turn.
- Update GPU driver and BIOS before you assume the game is bricked on shader compile.
- If Forge It Anew cannot finish at the smith, confirm 1.0.2 is installed. That bug is named.
- Do not spend a day of hourglass testing a quest that a hotfix already names. Check the patch first.
System floor from the August 2026 sheet, as repeated in launch wikis: GTX 1060 / 16 GB RAM / SSD. That is the floor, not a 60 fps promise at 1440p.
Consoles
Launch patch added 60 fps Performance on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Series X. If your build predates that, update before you blame the fight.
