How notoriety answers back, why officer anger is a resource, and how loud nights tax later days.
Infamy is the valley answering you. It is not a gacha pity counter. DawnwalkerDB describes edicts the regime issues when the number climbs. Loud vampire nights make later travel more expensive even when walking itself is free.
Three officer meters, then Brencis
Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe each have an anger / attention meter. Raid an officer's operations until they offer a duel. Beat all three and Brencis comes out.

What not to do
Do not farm Infamy for its own sake. Some romance and city threads want you still able to walk into Svartrau in daylight. A max-infamy Folk Hero path exists in ending write-ups; it is a commitment, not a default.
