Aurelius

Not all of Brencis’s henchmen are vrakhiri. An astrologer, scholar, and inventor named Aurelius seems to be of great service to the knyaz, too. He lives in an old, secluded watchtower where he performs his magical experiments. His greatest achievement is a sort of deadly flying creatures that may soon become Brencis’s ultimate weapon.
